In order to reduce drainage noise produced by PVC-U pipes, Chuanlu has developed a swirl noise reduction pipe, which is approved by China Patent Office, Patent No. ZL94236808.8.
Swirl noise reduction pipes are installed at the confluence between transverse pipes and vertical pipes on each floor and are below Tee and Cross. Through diversion effect of cascade, water can swirl down along pipe wall to maintain stability of flow and reduce collision with air, so as to reduce drainage noise. Tested by the environmental monitoring authorities, swirl noise reduction pipes can reduce drainage noise by 3 to 5dB.
